Travel a little further and you’ll quickly arrive in Queenston – home of the Laura Secord Homestead and Brock’s Monument. You may know her chocolates today, but Laura Secord is a very important part of Canada’s history, and the museum in her 1812 home is worth a visit.
Cycle To Niagara On The Lake
Continue on the Parkway and ride along the shore of Lake Ontario, where you’ll find some of Niagara’s best wineries. These include Inniskilin, Peller Estates and Reif Estate. Stop in for a wine tasting and lunch at one of these world-class wineries.
The bike trail ends at Fort George, another amazing site for history buffs. Finally, you will arrive in historic Niagara On The Lake, where you’ll find lots of awesome shops, restaurants and cafes. If you’ve had enough wine at this point, stop by the Olde Angel Inn for a pint at one of the country’s oldest establishments.
