The Niagara Falls Santa Claus Parade is a winter tradition. Families line the streets as the floats go by, along Victoria Ave, and down Queen Street. It seems that everyone participates in the city’s parade whether it’s in the parade like local business’, schools, city hall officials and of course Santa, or by sponsoring the parade.

Each year in high school, we would decorate a parade float in our A.N. Myer purple and white Christmas decorations and try to be the most energetic school there. It was great to wave from the float and watch as big smiles grew across kid’s faces as we handed out candy canes.

Armed with hot chocolate and warm winter clothes, this parade is something that every family should attend around the holidays. Whether you are local or not, memories will be made as everyone sings carols and awaits the all import Santa Claus float. Don’t miss out Saturday, November 19th.
